Concrete Slab Leveling and Void Filling in Miami
Polyurethane foam or grout injected under a slab that has dropped or gone hollow.
Slab leveling raises a concrete slab back to grade by injecting material into the void underneath it, rather than by tearing the slab out. In Miami the void usually comes from water: a leaking supply line, a broken drain, storm runoff channelled against the house, or tidal groundwater moving fine sand out from under the slab and into the rock below. The two common methods are polyurethane foam injected through small ports, which expands and lifts within minutes, and cementitious grout, which is cheaper per unit but heavier. Driveways, pool decks, patios, garage slabs, and interior floors are all candidates. Typical residential jobs run $1,400 to $6,500 and finish in a day, with the slab back in service the same afternoon on foam.
What is included
- Void mapping before the quote, so the injection pattern matches the actual hollow area
- Polyurethane foam injection through 5/8 inch ports, cured and load-bearing in about 15 minutes
- Cementitious grout (mudjacking) where the lift is large and appearance underneath does not matter
- Plumbing leak check first, because lifting a slab over an active leak just buys time
- Pool deck, driveway, walkway, patio, and garage slab work
- Interior floor lifting with port holes patched to match
- Trip-hazard correction at slab joints that have stepped
- Post-lift elevation check against the original survey points
